List Your App on the Selling Partner Appstore

Learn how to complete the List Your App form.

Use this document to complete the List your app form and request app publication on the Selling Partner Appstore.

Requirements to list applications

You must meet the following requirements to list applications in the Selling Partner Appstore:

Step 1. Open the form

  1. Sign in to Seller Central for your regional marketplace. For URLs, refer to Seller Central URLs.

  2. Navigate to Develop Apps.

  3. Look for your app in the applications table. In the Actions column choose Create listing.

Step 2. Complete the App information page

Enter the following information:

  • Language: Select the language used to provide the listing information.
  • Listing name: Enter the name of your app.

Unacceptable content

  • Do not include content that could offend a group of people based on their age, race, or other factors.
  • Do not include sensitive content such as user credentials, customer quotes, and unpublished Amazon data.
  • Do not include personally identifiable information (PII) about the Developer or others (such as a home address or phone number). \n\nDo not use any expressions or phrases such as "The best", "Number 1", and "The only.”
  • Do not include functionalities or features that are against the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), Data Protection Policy (DPP), and other Amazon policies. For example, a developer must not promote violation of any agreement between authorized users and Amazon, or statement that promotes workarounds to Amazon polices.
  • Do not use any terms trademarked by Amazon, including AMZ. For more information, refer to Non-Exhaustive List of Amazon Trademarks.

Do not use HTML reserved characters

Do not use ", ', &, <, or > in any description. Doing so will delay the publishing of your app.

  • Listing category: Review the following categories and their descriptions. Select the category or categories that best describe your app. If your app is a Full Service Solution app that supports business management throughout the selling lifecycle, select only Full Service Solution.

    • Listing: Manage Amazon listings with tools that help list new products or offers, optimize your catalog, and reduce errors.
    • Inventory and Order Management: Automate your Amazon order management and keep your inventory levels in sync across your systems.
    • Advertising Optimization: Find apps to optimize your advertising budget and strategy to improve product visibility and drive more sales to your business.
    • Product Research and Scouting: Screen prospective products using criteria such as customer demand, allowing more data-driven sourcing decisions.
    • Buyer-Seller Messaging Service: Get help answering customer questions in order to meet response timelines and provide a high level of customer service.
    • Accounting: Find apps to track finances, help reconcile payments, or integrate with your accounting software.
    • Full Service Solutions: Integrate business management throughout the selling lifecycle.
    • Disbursement Solutions: Explore solutions to disburse to bank accounts located outside of the Amazon store geography.
    • Automated Pricing: Stay price-competitive with tools that automate your product pricing based on your business rules.
    • Shipping Solutions: Automate shipping and fulfillment processes with tools that facilitate shipping rate purchasing, label printing, and logistics.
    • Promotions: Improve discoverability of products by creating targeted and compelling promotions.
    • Feedback and Reviews: Get verified reviews and feedback from customers to help improve your seller rating and offer customers useful insights.
    • Analytics and Reporting: Analyze your profitability and cost-per-product so you can better direct your business strategy and focus on what’s working.
    • Ecommerce Solution Connectors: Integrate your ecommerce site with Amazon for quicker listing, improved order management, cross-channel inventory sync, and more.
    • Funding and Credit: Obtain financing to fund large purchases and support the day-to-day operations of your business.
    • Taxes: Find apps to help file taxes and comply with regulations.
  • Short description: Briefly describe the features of your app using a maximum of 200 characters.

    Example short description: Monitor your listing, streamline inventory planning, and get automated sales reports and crucial alerts.

  • Long description: Describe the features of your app using a maximum of 4000 characters.

Here are some tips for writing good descriptions:

  • Be specific and factual.

  • Clearly state the benefits and the features of the app.

  • Match the categories in your description with the categories that you chose when registering your application.

  • App features: Describe your app’s features using a bulleted list.

  • Who should use this: Describe the target audience for your app to help customers find the app that is right for them. Indicate any restrictions or requirements for using your app, such as operating only in certain marketplaces, minimum requirements for sales and number of ASINs, or any software or system requirements.

  • Product URL: Enter the URL for your app’s website. Use the following best practices for creating and linking product URLs.

    • Check that the URL matches the listing category and functionality you previously selected.
    • Make sure the URL is secure. The URL must start with https, not http.
    • Verify that the URL links to an active and working website. A working website is connected to a landing page where business transactions can occur through the website or information can be exchanged to solicit business. The URL must not link to a sign-in page.
    • Confirm that the URL does not infringe on any trademarks.
  • Support URL: Enter a URL for your help pages, help desk, or other support contact information offered by your company. Use the following best practices for creating and linking support URLs.

    • Make sure the URL is secure. The URL must start with https, not http.
    • Verify that the URL links to an active and working website. A working website is connected to a landing page where business transactions can occur through the website or information can be exchanged to solicit business. The URL must not link to a sign-in page.
    • Confirm that the URL does not infringe on any trademarks.
  • Support email: Enter an email address where customers can contact you with questions or concerns.

  • Support phone: Enter a phone number where customers can contact you with questions or concerns.

  • Customer support languages: Select the languages accommodated by your customer support team. We will review your selection and validate it.

  • Functionality: Select all the functionalities of your app. These will be featured as bullets on the application detail page.

  • Programs supported: Select the programs that your app supports.

  • Marketplaces supported: Select the marketplaces that your app supports.

Choose Save and continue.

Step 3. Complete the Pricing page

Enter the following information:

  • Pricing description: Enter a description of your pricing model.

  • Pricing model: Select the pricing model you want to use for your app.

    • Request quote from developer: Choose this option if your pricing model is determined case by case, depending on the seller’s needs. Describe your pricing model in the Pricing description box. Include promotional codes, if applicable.
    • Free: Select this check box if you do not charge for your product under any conditions.
    • Starting at (amount per month/year): Select this if your pricing model is based on a monthly or yearly charge.
  • Free trial: Select this check box if you offer a free trial. Then, enter the length of the trial in days in the Duration box. If the free trial is not based in days, describe the duration of the free trial in the Pricing description box.

Choose Save and continue.

Step 4. Complete the App details page and submit the form

Enter the following information:

  • Business Logo for detail page: Upload an image that represents your app. The image must meet the following criteria:

    • Minimum dimensions of 300 x 300 pixels
    • A width to height ratio greater than 0.95 and less than 1.05 (close to a square)
    • Maximum file size of 2 MB
    • Represents your business or your app
    • No offensive or sensitive subjects
    • No Amazon logos or trademarks
  • Business Logo for category page title: Upload an image that represents your app. This image is displayed on the search page of the Appstore. We recommend you use the same image as your detail page Business logo for consistency. The image must meet the following criteria:

    • Minimum dimensions of 220 x 220 pixels
    • A width to height ratio greater than 0.95 and less than 1.05 (close to a square)
    • Maximum file size of 2 MB
    • Represents your business or your app
    • No offensive or sensitive subjects
    • No Amazon logos or trademarks
  • Additional images (optional): Upload up to six images that represent your app. These images are shown at the top of your application detail page, in the gallery under the logo. We recommend you include images that show the user experience of your application. Some examples include screenshots of the application's functions and workflows. The images must meet the following criteria:

    • Minimum dimensions of 300 x 300 pixels
    • A width to height ratio greater than 0.95 and less than 1.05 (close to a square)
    • Maximum file size of 2 MB
    • Represents your business or your app
    • No offensive or sensitive subjects
    • No Amazon logos or trademarks

  • From the provider (optional): Upload up to two banner style images that represents your app. These images are shown under Features in the From the Developer section of your application detail page. We recommend you use images that highlight why a user should use your application. The images must meet the following criteria:

    • Minimum dimensions of 970 x 300 pixels
    • Maximum file size limit of 2 MB
    • Represents your business or your app
    • No offensive or sensitive subjects
    • No Amazon logos or trademarks

Choose Save and submit. The Thank you! page includes a link to your case log, where you can view the progress of your listing request. The Selling Partner Appstore team will use the case log to contact you if your application requires clarification. Otherwise, The Selling Partner Appstore team will publish your app in the Selling Partner Appstore in three to four weeks.
