November 2023 SP-API Release Announcement

Introducing the Supply Sources API v2020-07-01

You can use the new Supply Sources API to configure and update information on seller supply sources, such as stores and warehouses. You can use the Supply Sources API to build applications that use location-level fulfillment capabilities and provide information about supply sources and location level inventory.

New Multi-Location Inventory Integration guide

Multi Location inventory (MLI) allows multi location sellers to provide Amazon with location-level data on their inventory and actual fulfillment capabilities. This location-level data is paired with the Seller’s actual ship-from location behavior and fed into the promise systems to generate precise Customer promises. These speed and reliability improvements make offers more attractive to Customers and drive MFN sales, while the lower cost to serve leads to more competitive ASPs and/or higher Seller profits. The new Multi-Location Inventory Integration guide advises Selling Partners on the APIs and operations that are mandatory for integration.

Seller Central is now available in the South Africa Marketplace (ZA)

On October 17th, 2023, Seller Central launched support for the South Africa Marketplace (ZA). For more information, refer to the Seller Central URLs, SP-API Endpoints, and Marketplace IDs.

Notification of Product Type (PT) availability for the Listings API

As of October 19, 2023, 1,712 product types supported by XML and flat-file feeds are now available to Sellers on Listings API WW (excluding IN) for Hardlines, Softlines, and Consumables. All remaining product types will be available on the Listings API in early 2024.

Updates to Product Pricing API v2022-05-01

The following updates are now available for the Product Pricing API v2022-05-01:

  • The United Kingdom is now a valid marketplace.
  • The getFeaturedOfferExpectedPriceBatch operation has been extended to Amazon.co.uk. This operation lets you receive the FOEP data for up to 40 SKUs, provided that the items are in new condition, ship nationwide, and are eligible to become the featured offer.
  • ASIN_NOT_ELIGIBLE is now a value for resultStatus. This error code is returned if an ASIN is ineligible for an FOEP value.
  • The new competitiveSummary operation returns the competitive summary response including featured buying options for the ASIN and marketplaceId combination.

Update to Product Type Definitions API v2020-09-01

Product Type Definitions v2020-09-01 now includes three new request parameters
(itemName, locale, and searchlocale) and one new response field (displayName). Selling Partners can use these new parameters to get the Amazon recommended Product Type for their listing based based on their item’s name.

A new tutorial for Get Product Type Definition recommendations is now included in the Product Type Definitions API v2020-09-01 Use Case Guide. You can use this tutorial to get Amazon product type recommendations from the Product Type Definitions API for a given Amazon marketplace, type of selling partner account, and item name.

Finances v0 operation changes

ListFinancialEvent and ListFinancialEventGroups were updated to more clearly communicate expected responses and scope. The response for ChangeRefundTransactions was modified from an object to an array.

Weight is now a mandatory field in the Vendor Direct Fulfillment Shipping API v2021-12-28 and v1

The weight field is now mandatory. This change will generate an error when invoking shipmentconfirmations so that vendors do not have to wait for an error during transaction status.

Update to Building Listings Management Workflows Guide
