Update: May updates to Listing attribute usage and enumeration values

Starting May 26, 2024, Amazon will make further updates to the attribute usage and enumeration values of numerous product types across select marketplaces. These adjustments eliminate redundant attributes.

Which marketplaces are affected?

This change applies to the following marketplaces:

  • Canada (CA)
  • United States (US)
  • Mexico (MX)
  • Brazil (BR)
  • Spain (ES)
  • United Kingdom (UK)
  • France (FR)
  • Netherlands (NL)
  • Germany (DE)
  • Italy (IT)
  • Sweden (SE)
  • Poland (PL)
  • Egypt (EG)
  • Turkey (TR)
  • Saudi Arabia (SA)
  • United Arab Emirates (AE)
  • India (IN)
  • Singapore (SG)
  • Australia (AU)
  • Japan (JP)

Who is affected?

This change affects private and public developers who use the Listings Items API v2021-08-01 and JSON_LISTINGS_FEED feed type to create and edit products with offers. This change does not affect product-only listings and XSD/XML feed uploads.

What action is required?

These changes will take effect when you create or edit listings for products with offers. This change requires you to provide values for the newly added attributes with required usage. For attributes with optional usage, you can choose to provide values. You can choose to use an enumeration from the new list in the dropdown values for attributes if the new enumeration is more relevant to the selling product.
