February 2023 SP-API Release Announcement

Updated Orders v0 API supports Amazon Business customer preferences

Business customers expect the same on-time deliveries as consumers, and they also expect sellers to adhere to their delivery preferences (packages delivered during business hours, packages delivered to a preferred area, etc.).

Using the Orders API, you now have information about Amazon Business customers and their delivery preferences, which will help you take actions that minimize delivery attempts and reduce lost packages. For example, the DeliveryPreferences attribute returned by the getOrderAddress API operation contains information about how and when a package is expected to be delivered. For more information, refer to the new Amazon Business for Orders API Use Case Guide.

This feature is available to a limited set of sellers starting February 22nd and will be available to all sellers starting April 3, 2023.

Updated Vendor Retail Procurement Orders API improves query results

The Vendor Retail Procurement Orders API has been updated to ensure that when querying using the “created after” and “created before” parameters; only the purchase orders (POs) created within the specified time period are returned.

Purchase orders open for longer than six months without an update were previously included in query results. The API has been updated to pass six-month-past-in-date as a query parameter to prevent incorrect POs being returned in creation window query results.

Improved Merchant Fulfillment API Static Sandbox

The static sandbox responses for the Merchant Fulfillment v0 API has been updated to display the names of select UPS domestic (US) shipping methods (e.g. UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS Next Day Air Saver, etc.).

Updated Vendor Direct Fulfillment API

The customizedURL attribute of buyerCustomizedInfo, returned by the getOrder and getOrders operations, is now a Base 64 encoded URL ensuring it is compatible with a wider range of systems and applications. Vendors can decode the data to view the original URL.

Developer Documentation site updates

Dark mode is now available on the SP-API Developer Documentation and Selling Partner API Blog sites! By default, the site mode will match your current system operating mode. Otherwise, you can switch between dark and light mode using the sun/moon toggle at the top right of the page.

Deprecations

This a reminder that the following products are announcing deprecation and will be unavailable for both sellers and vendors.

API Deprecations

This is a reminder that deprecation for the Reports API v2020-09-04 and the Feeds API v2020-09-04 was announced when the 2021-06-30 versions were released in July 2021.

These two APIs will sunset on March 31, 2023 May 31, 2023. Please migrate to the Reports API v2021-06-30 and the Feeds API v2021-06-30 to prevent service disruption.

The Selling Partner API team
