Deprecated SP-API resources are no longer in active development. Calls to deprecated SP-API resources will continue to be successful until their removal date. After the removal date, calls will fail. For more detailed information about SP-API deprecation dates, refer to the Deprecations table.
Update: The Catalog Items API v2022-04-01 provides a new classifications parameter for sellers and vendors
The Catalog Items API v2022-04-01 includes a new includedData
query parameter option called classifications
, which replaces the deprecated MWS GetProductCategoriesForSKU
and GetProductCategoriesForASIN
operations. You can use classifications
to browse the classification trees assigned to an ASIN.

Removal of selling-partner-api-docs GitHub repository
The selling-partner-api-docs GitHub repository will be decommissioned on May 31, 2024. After May 31, 2024, this repository will no longer be available. All issues, bugs, and ideas submitted before this date will be moved to the selling-partner-api-models repository.
Update: May updates to Listing attribute usage and enumeration values
Starting May 26, 2024, Amazon will make further updates to the attribute usage and enumeration values of numerous product types across select marketplaces. These adjustments eliminate redundant attributes.
Update: Orders API v0 returns Pix, Boleto, and rewards-based payment method details
The paymentMethodDetails
field of the Orders API v0 now returns Pix
, Boleto
, and Rewards
values to help you identify payment methods in your orders information. Previously, these values were returned as Other
. This enables the API users to properly identify those payment methods in their orders information.
Clarification to the requirement for List Prices
On May 15, 2024, we announced an update to the requirement for List Prices.

attribute would be required for certain product types (PTs) in certain EU marketplaces.
Report retention policy is changing
Starting May 30, 2024, Amazon will retain generated report documents for varying durations per Report Type. Refer to the Report Type Values articles to identify the specific length of time report documents will be available.
Update: Feed retention policy change from 90 days to 28 days
Starting May 30, 2024, Amazon will retain feed documents for a maximum of 30 28 days.
